Terms and Conditions
Welcome to GrubSwap. The following Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of GrubSwap. By accessing and using GrubSwap, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use GrubSwap.
Usage of GrubSwap
1.1. GrubSwap is designed to deliver campus food directly to campus dorms. A student places an order through a GrubSwap-designed Google Form with information of their email, phone number, order, and dorm building and room number. A GrubSwap employee will purchase the food using dining dollars and deliver the food in a timely manner. The orderer will pay for the food through Venmo.
1.2. Anyone living on campus may use GrubSwap.
2.1. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information, including any and all information inputted into the Google Form or anywhere on the website (grubswap.app).
2.2. Users are prohibited from sharing their details with others.
2.3. Users must promptly notify GrubSwap administrators of any unauthorized use or security breaches.
2.4 Terms “Eater” and “Feeder.” An Eater is a user who orders a meal through GrubSwap. A Feeder is a user who buys uses their dining dollars to purchase a meal from the dining hall, and then receives compensation for a portion of the meal.
Exchange Process
3.1. Described above.
3.2. All users must adhere to Boston College's policies regarding the use of dining dollars.
Responsibilities of Users
6.1. Users are responsible for their interactions and transactions on GrubSwap.
6.2. Users must conduct exchanges in a respectful and courteous manner.
6.3. Any violations of Boston College policies or local laws during exchanges are the sole responsibility of the users involved.
App Usage Guidelines
7.1. Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using GrubSwap.
7.2. Users shall not engage in any fraudulent or deceptive activities.
Termination of Account
8.1. Users of GrubSwap acknowledge and agree that all withdrawals will be handled through Venmo. By using the app's withdrawal services, users explicitly consent to utilizing Venmo as the designated withdrawal method.
8.2. Venmo Compliance: Users shall comply with Venmo's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies in connection with any withdrawal transactions. GrubSwap is not responsible for any violations of Venmo's policies by users.
8.3. Data Security: GrubSwap employs reasonable security measures to protect user data during the withdrawal process. However, users should be aware that the use of Venmo is subject to Venmo's security protocols, and GrubSwap is not liable for any security breaches on the Venmo platform.
8.4. Financial Regulations: Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with any applicable financial regulations and laws, including but not limited to anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations, in connection with their use of GrubSwap's withdrawal services through Venmo.
8.5. Venmo Integration Policies: Users acknowledge that Venmo is a third-party service, and GrubSwap is not responsible for any changes to Venmo's policies or guidelines. Users should familiarize themselves with Venmo's integration policies when using GrubSwap's withdrawal services. GrubSwap is not affiliated with Venmo in any way.
8.6. Alternative Options: GrubSwap may, at its discretion, provide alternative withdrawal options. However, users acknowledge that Venmo is the primary withdrawal method offered by the app.
8.7. Communication and Transparency: GrubSwap will transparently communicate the withdrawal process through Venmo, including any fees or charges associated with Venmo transactions. Users are encouraged to review this information before initiating withdrawals.
8.8. Legal Advice: Users are strongly encouraged to seek legal advice to ensure their compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Venmo's policies when using GrubSwap's withdrawal services through Venmo.
8.9. Changes to Withdrawal Method: GrubSwap reserves the right to change the withdrawal method or add alternative withdrawal options at its discretion. Users will be notified of any material changes to the withdrawal process.
GrubSwap administrators reserve the right to terminate or suspend user accounts at their discretion, with or without cause.
9.1. Users may terminate their accounts at any time by contacting GrubSwap administrators.
Separation between GrubSwap and Boston College
10.1 GrubSwap is not affiliated with Boston College. GrubSwap is not a Boston College-sanctioned app. By using GrubSwap, users accept that they are participating in a service run by a third party. Any consequences that arise from the use of this app are the sole responsibility of the user, not GrubSwap.
Payment
11.2 All sales are final, and no refunds are accepted.
Intellectual Property
12.1 The app GrubSwap is a privately owned entity, and any attempts to copy or replicate the core functionality of the app is prohibited will result in legal action.
12.2 By accepting these terms and using the app, you agree not to attempt to recreate the core functionality of GrubSwap for your own purposes.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
13.1. GrubSwap administrators reserve the right to modify or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of any changes.
13.2. Continued use of GrubSwap after changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. By using GrubSwap, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
